Risograph Workshops by Ava Pom
As part of her mission to increase public accessibility to RISO printing in Boston and beyond, Ava Pom enjoys working with local art centers and organizations to host Risograph printing workshops. Participants learn the basics of what a RISO machine is, how it functions, and how to print Risograph artwork using the machine's scanner bed and/or the computer-to-RISO printing method.
In September 2024, Ava partnered with The Essex Art Center in Lawrence, MA to host a collaborative collaging workshop for 2-color RISO printing. Participants used cut paper and traditional drawing materials to make group collages that they then scanned and printed in 2 RISO color layers.
